27. Hip joint.
Explains the hip as a ball-and-socket synovial joint, naming its articular surfaces: the femoral head and the acetabulum with its fibrocartilaginous labrum. Walks through the fibrous capsule and its attachments, the synovial membrane, and the orientation of capsular fibres. Covers the three capsular ligaments (iliofemoral, pubofemoral, ischiofemoral) with their positions and supporting roles, then the intracapsular transverse acetabular ligament and ligamentum teres.
