Anatomy (Cardiovascular system) · MU Sofia
107. Conducting system of the heart.
Explains how the heart's conducting system generates and carries electrical signals to coordinate the heartbeat, naming its four components: the SA node, AV node, bundle of His and Purkinje fibres. It describes where the SA node sits in the right atrium and how the AV node connects to the bundle, then follows the right and left bundle branches down the interventricular septum to the Purkinje network that supplies the ventricular muscle and papillary muscles. Two figures accompany the text.
