Anatomy Bones and Muscles · MU Pleven

207. Regio sternocleidomastoidea.

Covers the sternocleidomastoid region, starting with its boundaries and surface anatomy, including the platysma, external jugular vein, cervical plexus and the neighbouring muscles. It then explains how the space behind the muscle divides into the antescalene, interscalene and scaleno-vertebral spaces, listing the structures in each, such as the venous angle, subclavian vessels and brachial plexus, and the phrenic and vagus nerves.
