Bones and Muscles · 28. Knee joint
Covers the knee as the largest synovial joint, describing its femorotibial and patellofemoral articulations and its type as a modified hinge. It then goes through the articulating surfaces, the capsular and oblique popliteal ligaments, the fibrous and synovial parts of the capsule, the menisci and cruciate ligaments, and the bursae. The note also explains the locking and unlocking mechanism at full extension, and ends with the knee's arterial supply and nerve innervation.
