Anatomy

Anatomy is taught in Year 2 of the Dental Medicine degree at the Medical University of Sofia, and its syllabus runs through 264 topics. It starts with bones, joints and muscles. It moves on to the internal organs and endocrine glands, then the heart, blood vessels and lymphoid organs. Next come the central and peripheral nervous systems, including the sense organs, and the topographic anatomy of the head, neck, trunk and limbs. It closes with the histology of selected organs. AceMed has a note for every topic, about 15 hours of reading in all. The notes are built around 1,203 labelled pictures, with 80 tables, frequent mnemonics and 2,997 flashcards.
