Bones and Muscles · 39. Muscles of thorax.

Covers the muscles of the thorax in two groups: the thoracohumeral muscles, namely pectoralis major and minor, serratus anterior and subclavius, and the proper muscles, namely the external, internal and innermost intercostals, transversus thoracis and levatores costarum. For each muscle the note gives origin, insertion, innervation, function and blood supply, with fibre-direction and breathing-role notes for the intercostals. A comparison table sets out the three parts of pectoralis major, and another table contrasts the short and long levatores costarum.
