Covers the external nose, including its skeleton of bones and cartilages, its skin, blood supply and nerves, then the nasal cavity: its three regions, the walls and boundaries of each half, and the three conchae and meatuses. It also lists the neighbouring structures, the vessels and innervation of the cavity, and the paranasal sinuses with their drainage openings and the nasolacrimal duct. Tables of the cell types and labelled diagrams support the text.
Topic 19 of 44 in the MU Sofia syllabus for Anatomy (Internal Organs+Glands) (Medicine, Years 1 and 2). The free AceMed note covers it in 14 sections, about 943 words (7 min of reading), with 10 flashcards.

NOSE
The nose has a bony and cartilaginous base of a triangular shape. The skin of the nose is rich in sebaceous glands. The skin overlying the bony part is movable, while the skin overlying cartilaginous part is firmly fixed. The muscles of facial expression inserting into the nose constrict and flare the nostrils.
The nose is both a respiratory and olfactory organ with a role in forming the timbre of the voice
It includes the External nose and the nasal cavity.
