Walks through the branches of the internal iliac artery, which runs inferoposteriorly from the superior margin of the greater sciatic foramen. It separates the anterior trunk, covering the obturator, rectal, umbilical, vesical, pudendal, gluteal and uterine branches, from the posterior trunk, covering the iliolumbar, lateral sacral and superior gluteal arteries. Each branch is listed with the structures it supplies and its anastomoses, and two pictures accompany the text.
Topic 106 of 236 in the MU Pleven syllabus for Anatomy Bones and Muscles (Medicine, Year 2). The free AceMed note covers it in 2 sections, about 162 words (1 min of reading), with 14 flashcards.
