Anatomy Bones and Muscles · MU Pleven
189. Retina. Visual pathway.
Covers the retina's two parts, with the optic part built from a pigmented layer and a multilayered neural layer of photoreceptors, bipolar, horizontal, amacrine and ganglion cells, and the fovea's high visual sensitivity. Then describes the optic nerve as ganglion cell axons, the path of light through the eye, and the central visual pathway through the optic chiasm, optic tract, lateral geniculate nucleus and optic radiation to the visual cortex. A rods and cones comparison table closes the note.
