40. Muscles of the forearm - posterior group . Forearm fascia
Covers the muscles of the forearm, organised into anterior (flexor), lateral and posterior (extensor) groups. Tables give origin, insertion, innervation and function for each muscle, with the anterior flexors split into superficial, intermediate and deep layers and the posterior extensors into superficial and deep layers. Blood supply and the course of the median nerve through the cubital fossa are noted, and the note closes with a brief section on the antebrachial fascia.
Topic 39 of 236 in the MU Pleven syllabus for Anatomy Bones and Muscles (Medicine, Year 2). The free AceMed note covers it in 5 sections, about 95 words (6 min of reading), with 12 flashcards.
