Covers the lungs' location in the pleural cavity, their parts such as the apex, base, hilum and root, and their surfaces and borders. It then gives the lobe division, the bronchopulmonary segments in a table for each lung, and the structures at each hilum. Syntopy, blood and lymph supply, surface landmarks and innervation close the note.

The lungs is a paired organ covered with the pleura.
Located in the pleural cavity.
Responsible for oxygenating blood that enters via the pulmonary artery and leaves via the pulomanry vein.
The color of the healthy lung ranges from gray to bluish-pink.
Parts of the lung:
1 Base of lung (basis pulmonis) – the concave base resting on the diaphragm
2 Apex of lung (apex pulmonis) – projects towards the cervical pleura
3 Hilum of lung (hilum pulmonis)
– a place where the structures of the root of the lung enter the lung
4 Root of lung (radix pulmonis)
– the vessels, lymphatics, nerves, and bronchi passing through the hilum
