Covers the conjunctiva, a thin membrane lining the eyelids and reflecting over the eyeball, explaining the conjunctival sac and fornices and the three parts of the membrane with its lubricating and protective roles. Then describes the lacrimal apparatus: the lacrimal gland split into orbital and palpebral parts, tear secretion and spread with blinking, drainage through the lacrimal lake, canaliculi and sac, and the nasolacrimal duct to the nasal cavity. Three pictures accompany the text.
