Anatomy (PNS) · MU Sofia
221. External ear. Tympanic membrane.
Covers the two parts of the external ear: the auricle, with its cartilage, landmarks such as the helix, tragus and concha, its intrinsic and extrinsic muscles, and its sensory and vascular supply. It then describes the external acoustic meatus, its length, its cartilaginous and bony walls, cerumen-producing skin, and the nerves supplying its walls. The note ends with the tympanic membrane, its three layers, its two surfaces with the umbo, and its nerve and arterial supply.
