Medicine · Year 2 · MU Pleven
Physiology
Physiology is taught in Year 2 of the Medicine degree at the Medical University of Pleven, and its syllabus of 17 topics runs in three chapters. It opens with cell membranes, excitation and synapses, from homeostasis and membrane transport to membrane and action potentials, synaptic transmission and transmitters. Muscle physiology follows, covering skeletal muscle structure, contraction, length-tension relations and smooth muscle. Blood and immunity closes the syllabus with plasma proteins, red and white blood cells, haemostasis, innate and acquired immunity, and blood groups. AceMed's notes cover every topic in about two hours of reading, are built around 89 labelled pictures with one table, and come with 340 flashcards.
The full MU Pleven syllabus for Physiology, Medicine, Year 2: 17 topics, every one with a free study note (2 hours of reading), and 340 flashcards. Updated 29 October 2026.
