Chemistry
Chemistry is taught in Year 1 of the Medicine degree at the Medical University of Sofia. Its syllabus moves from chemical bonding and molecular structure through dispersed systems, kinetics, thermodynamics and equilibrium, then acids, bases and buffers, redox processes and complex compounds. The larger second half turns to organic compounds, followed by amino acids, proteins and carbohydrates, and closes with heterocycles, nucleic acids and lipids. AceMed has notes for all 42 topics, about four hours of reading in total, built heavily around labelled pictures of structures and reactions, with 393 of them and two tables. There are also 727 flashcards for spaced repetition.
The full MU Sofia syllabus for Chemistry, Medicine, Year 1: 42 topics, every one with a free study note (4 hours of reading), and 727 flashcards. Updated 30 October 2026.
