Dental Materials
Dental Materials is a Year 1 subject in the Dental Medicine degree at the Medical University of Sofia, and its syllabus runs as a single chapter of 52 topics. It opens with practical work on preparing plaster, acrylic resins, cements, impression materials and composites, then moves to residual monomer, abrasives, stress-strain behaviour, hardness and wear, casting investments, noble and base alloys and corrosion. Later topics cover soft and injection resins, gypsum and impression materials, optical properties, digital technologies, ceramics, porcelain fused to metal, restorative cements, composites and adhesives. AceMed's notes for every topic are short, about two hours of reading in all, built around 79 labelled pictures and 73 tables, with 723 flashcards.
